Employment regulations service Acas has launched an equality and diversity guide for employers on the role monitoring plays in the workplace.

The guide is designed to help implement, review and monitor an equality policy and shows employers how to approach diversity and equality in areas such as recruitment, pay and training.

Steve Williams, Acas equality and diversity expert, said: "Getting to grips with equality and diversity in the workplace can be a complicated topic so this guide will be a valuable resource for businesses and managers. Putting in place the measures to implement a balanced and fair workplace will create benefits for businesses and employees."

The guide is available free now at www.acas.org.uk.
