Nimax Theatres has outsourced its payroll function to improve accuracy and streamline processes.

The company, which manages five West End theatres in London, including the Lyric, Apollo, Garrick and Vaudeville, outsourced its complicated pay function to ADP Employer Services to simplify and automate payroll. The existing system required the firm to re-enter staff costs for individual show production each week and the manual system was taking an unacceptable amount of time.

The system, provided by ADP, will cut down on much of the manual entry of data and will regularly produce reports.

Nimax's finance director, Laurie Denton, said: "We were keen to find a solution that would bring simplicity and clarity to what is a very complex and time-consuming payroll. If we get our payroll wrong, it can be costly and it not only strains our relationship with our employees but also our producers, so it is especially important to work with a company we can rely upon to manage the process effectively from implementation through to day-to-day running."
