BP is to recognise efforts made by car and van fleets that are proactively striving to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
The BP Car and Van Fuel Efficiency Awards 2009 recognise best practice by organisations taking measures with business mileage, fuel monitoring systems, vehicle selection lists and environmental measures such as carbon-offsetting.
Ranjeev Baines, BP's fuel car manager, said: "There are a lot of efforts being made by organisations to implement initiatives to reduce the impact they have on the environment, These awards are our way of recognising and rewarding those organisations that have taken the extra step to reduce the impact of their fleets on the environment."
