Smith & Nephew is to enhance its permanent and temporary recruitment systems to save up to 8% on its total UK recruitment spend.

Mike Barnett, vice president for HR at Smith & Nephew, said: "We wanted to introduce a system that would give us complete visibility over our entire recruitment process and help initiate pay parity across all staffing levels while guaranteeing quality staff. He added: "At the touch of a button we can now instantly get a view of the business's staffing levels, something that is becoming increasingly important in the current economic climate."
