Time comes to the Mersey

The ferry across the Mersey will be running with the help of fully monitored staff, now that operator Merseytravel has signed a deal with time & attendance provider, Crown Computing.

For the 960 staff who previously did not clock-on and off, planning and rostering staff has been transformed, allowing more staff to take holidays and workforce management to be improved.
 
Employees can now access their own attendance records through a web-browser and check what the system has corresponds to their payslips. The system has also allowed flexitime to be introduced more easily.
 
"There have been definite improvements to the workforce through freeing up time and improving the quality of our services," says Alastair Ramsay, principle personnel officer, Merseytravel.
