Takeaways benefit from increase in late working

As the economic downturn worsens, employees working late are ordering takeaways to their offices later than ever before.

The report from www.just-eat.co.uk, shows ordering of takeaways to workplaces after five o'clock has increased by 236% in the past six months.

As employees' fears about redundancy grow, the survey of 1,304 office workers shows 42% have worked late in the past month on more than five occasions and 37% are worried about job security in the current climate.

Pizza is the most popular takeaway choice, with 83% of sales attributed to it.
