Six out of 10 adults (61%) in the UK find healthcare unaffordable.
According to health insurance provider Engage Mutual, 43% of staff cannot afford dental check-ups, 43% find new glasses expensive, 20% have problems paying for prescriptions and 16% struggle to pay for eye examinations.
However the report shows during 2007 there was a 27% growth in employer contributions towards healthcare.
