London borough introduces skills assessment of staff working with children

Tower Hamlets council has introduced online skills assessments for staff to make sure they are appropriately trained.

Staff who work with children will use the web-based skills analysis tool, provided by Nectare, to identify the areas where they most require training.

The system, called AssessMe, is linked to national standards in the field of work and will be used on an ongoing basis to ensure that staff maintain the level of competency required to work with children.
