Eighty teams from businesses such as Hewlett Packard, Airbus, Coca-Cola and BT are set to take part in an inter-business challenge to raise money for charity.
For the Cisco Euro Challenge the teams will be sent to Germany for a series of competitions ranging from biking and white water rafting to strategic thinking tasks and orienteering.
It is hoped that the challenge will engage and inspire staff as well as promote a sense of pride in business and drive up their performance when they return to the office.
The challenge aims to raise £100,000 for WaterAid, a charity that provides safe water, sanitation and hygiene education for the world's poorest people.
Beverly Wall, events executive at WaterAid, said: "This is a truly unique event whereby teams benefit hugely through team development and staff motivation, while at the same time helping WaterAid to provide the basics for life that everyone's entitled to - water and sanitation."
