Hays, the recruitment company has launched an iPhone application, allowing users to search all available jobs on the new hays.co.uk site.

Jobseekers can search for roles by location, key word, salary and job type, and will be able to view job specifications and then apply online, all using their iPhone.

It is hoped the ‘app' will be useful for temps and contractors who don't always have immediate access to a PC but are looking for their next role.

The application simplifies the online application process as candidates only need to upload their CVs once; they will then be able to apply for multiple roles without the need to keep re-submitting their CV.

Tim Cook, managing director of Hays UK & Ireland, said: "We are always looking for the next innovation and this shows we are leading the way in recruitment. Candidates are looking for speed and ease in their online job search and the introduction of the iPhone application is one way of addressing these needs. We are already looking for ways to expand and develop the application so that it continues to offer candidates the best possible service. For example, we are currently developing an equivalent app for the Google Android platform."
