Pearl Group has launched a flexible benefits scheme to replace the limited range of perks it previously offered staff.

The insurance company is working with flexible benefits provider Vebnet to implement the package, which includes holiday trading, travel insurance, childcare, retail vouchers, dental cover, health screening, a hospital cash plan, life assurance and critical illness cover.

Previously staff had a limited range of perks, including childcare vouchers, pension, life cover and medical insurance.

Staff are able to access the new scheme known as ‘Flexit' through a bespoke website and benefits are being communicated to the workforce though brochures and posters, internet links, a presentation from Vebnet and two articles in the company magazine.

Since the launch last month, three quarters of staff have signed up for benefits with holiday trading, critical illness cover and childcare vouchers proving most popular.

Lynne Weller, group reward manager for Pearl Group, said: "The benefits we provide obviously play an important role in helping us attract, retain and motivate the best possible people. We recognise that everyone is different and by introducing ‘Flexit' we have given our employees more control and the opportunity to select the benefits that suit their personal circumstances and lifestyle."
