The Open University has launched an online course to develop leadership in the construction industry.
The course has been designed to develop employees' and new line managers' management skills in the construction sector and related industries. Each course lasts between 30 and 50 hours.
Andy Nelson, assistant director of the Open University North West, said: "It is undeniable that the construction industry has suffered as a result of the downturn. But as the economy begins to show signs of recovery it is vital that the construction industry invests in developing the leadership skills to manage the opportunities as the sector claws back."
