Legal peace of mind online – backed by a personal team of employment solicitors at the end of a phone.
When legal questions arise…
Maternity benefits, sick pay, retirement, TUPE… With all the complexity around employment law, organisations feel the need to consult lawyers regularly. But this can come with a large price tag. Often, HR departments are only seeking advice on operational, day-to-day employment issues, rather than needing costly, high-level strategic advice.
The legal answer…
So, imagine receiving unlimited legal advice via the technical expertise of City lawyers, backed by commercial account management to deliver great customer service and online service technology - and all for a low fixed fee, to give you certainty and cost control.
Legal advice is a large cost increasingly scrutinised by HR readers. In a survey we conducted last year, two-thirds said they outsourced employment law advice, enabling them to concentrate on planning strategy and improving efficiency. But, with the myriad changes afoot, this needs more than just a call centre or helpline type service.
The legal offering
For this reason, HR is launching a quality legal service offering great-value, day-to-day advice from practising employment solicitors - all for a low, fixed, monthly cost.
Our partner
As you would expect, we have chosen our partner for this venture carefully. Employment Services Partnership (ESP) provides a personal team of legal advisors: a lead solicitor allocated to each and every client, along with a 'buddy' solicitor - your own personal contacts. You speak to the same legal advisor via direct dial, mobile and email contacts for maximum accessibility. They get to know your business and your preferred way of operating. This personal service marks ESP out from many. And you get guaranteed within one hour service response standards too. Your legal advice is delivered by a UK top 100 law firm.
How HR Legal Service works
HR Legal Service is a plug-and-go, self-service HR resources service, with a wealth of document templates, information and news delivered online, to save you time and money. Simply log in and access hundreds of legally drafted and compliant templates, best practice guides, fact-sheets, an online reference library, monthly case precedents and newsletters. The documents are simple to understand, easy to customise and updated daily - all included within the low fixed price subscription.
But that's not all. When you need further support, your personal legal advisory team is there to offer commercial and business practical advice and guidance.
This online service offers the reassurance and technical competence of top firms - with professional back-up at a cost-effective price. Peace of mind for day-to-day legal needs.

every man to his own trade I own an HRM & Legal expertise consultancy firm in the Netherlands . My firm has a strategic alliance with an International Employment Law Firm. When it’s an employment law issue we step back and let the employment law attorney in. The same goes for them. When it’s an HRM issue they step back and let us in. We also partner with financial specialists and Health & Safety specialists. Every HRM specialist from caliber knows quite well that most day by day issues do have a deeper particular back ground from where the problem occurred . Therefore any well thinking HRM specialist should know that it’s rarely possible to let an outside mainstream advice be helpful. It takes years of experience to find out that not one issue will be the same in HRM and this speaks also for the Employment law specialist. Most of the time it’s a rather specific problem that cannot be answered by a mainstream helpdesk. It’s an uprising trend that every company that makes not enough profit wants to increase its profit by selling cheap extended services related to their business. Because of the large marketing budgets of those companies they can invest in this downgrading of specialism. In the end people will find themselves still being in need of a real specialist. Due to the mainstream advice they got in the first place and the damages as result thereof the costs of such a specialist increase. Cheap investments turn out to be very expensive investments. But I also do accept the fact that most of the people do like to hit the rock before they learn.
