Shirley Campbell is Heriot-Watt University's new director of people and organisational development.

In this newly-developed role Campbell's remit includes prioritising the university's 'Focus on the Future' strategy from an HR and development perspective. She was previously in the financial services sector as UK HR director for Royal and Sun Alliance. She said: "The rebranding of our department as people and organisational development is a recognition of the contribution we will be making to the success of the strategy, and I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead for the whole team."
