Lucy Adams has been appointed director of BBC People, the corporation's human resources division.
Adams will take on her new responsibilities on 1 June, succeeding Stephen Kelly who has left the BBC to join Logica as director of HR. Adams is currently director of HR at Eversheds LLP and was previously HRD at the Serco Group. In her new role, she will be responsible for the full range of HR functions including training and development, resourcing, employee relations, reward, safety, organisation design and change management. She will lead a team of 475 HR, training and safety professionals. The role also includes responsibility for the BBC's outsourced HR services.
