Cineworld cinemas has rebranded its learning and development function to encourage staff to recognise and appreciate career advancement at the firm.

Cineworld formerly called the function training and development but changed the name to learning and development to show staff while training is one-off, learning is constant.

The company, which employs 4,000 staff in 75 locations, also launched a new learning and development logo to use on all relevant staff communication.

Stuart Holdsworth, national learning and development manager at Cineworld, said: "A logo is a symbol that can be powerful and representative of an idea or an attitude. Our new logo shows we believe in people and we encourage them to progress through a journey that gets more advanced along the way.
