Trowers and Hamlins puts benefits offering online to improve awareness and take-up

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has moved its flexible benefits programme online and launched total reward statements to boost employee engagement with the scheme.

The firm hopes the upgrade will improve the accuracy of its benefits administration and reduce workload.

The firm, with its provider Thomsons Online Benefits, devised a communications solution to accompany the launch using online and offline media and group presentations to help employees better understand their benefits package. It also introduced a pensions modelling tool to help employees select contribution levels and monitor fund performance.

Paul Robinson, HR director at Trowers & Hamlins, said: "This reflects our commitment to our people. The online tool enabled us to reach employees in all our locations. With the help of Thomsons we have been able to motivate our employees and improve their understanding of the value of their total reward on top of salary. We have also been able to remove the burden of administering benefits in multiple international sites."
