Top employers for working families announced

Working Families has revealed its list of the top employers for working families in 2014.

The top ten organisations are not ranked, but presented as a list of the companies that scored highest in the marking. They are named in the Top Employers for Working Families Benchmark.

The categories considered include the quality of flexible working policies and work/life integration programmes.

For the second year there is a list of the top SMEs for working families, called the Small Employer Benchmark.

There are also special awards for categories such as the Cityfathers best for all stages of fatherhood award – won by The London School of Economics and Science.

The Scottish Government walked away with the E-ON Best for engagement award and Centrica was awarded the National Grid award for flexible working.

Working Families chief executive Sarah Jackson praised the named companies for their "inspiring policies" and support for flexible workers and carers.
