Roffey Park research competition winners announced

The winners of the HR magazine and Roffey Park research competition have been announced

The competition gave practitioners and academics working in the fields of leadership, organisational development, and strategic HR the opportunity to get their work published and win a cash prize. The winners are as follows:

  • Winner: Gervase Bushe
  • Runner up: Sarah Krasker
  • Third: Stuart Pritchard

The winning piece, which explored the conditions where organisation development thrives, will be published in an upcoming issue of HR magazine. The runner up piece will also be published in a future issue.

Roffey Park director of research, practice and qualifications Andy Smith extended his congratulations to the winners and entrants.

“Once again our research competition has showcased innovative thinking and new perspectives on issues being faced by people and organisations across the world. To find at the end of the judging process we had leading academic and thought leaders' work being considered alongside that of practitioners working in the field was an added bonus,” he said.

“Congratulations to our winner, Gervase Bushe, on his well-theorised article offering new and practical insights into the world of OD and change. A great paper too from Sarah Krasker, the runner up, whose provocative paper opened up the world of followership and what this means for organisations.”

HR magazine editor Jenny Roper also praised the entrants. "The quality of papers entered was of an extremely high standard and they provided a very different perspective on some of the key business issues faced by organisations today,” she said. “It’s encouraging to see evidence of such a wealth of fresh thinking and evidence-based research.”
