HR Most Influential winners to be announced

The most influential HR directors and thinkers of 2014 will be unveiled this evening at an event at Claridge's.

The annual HR Most Influential lists recognise the top practitioners and thinkers in HR who have made a significant contribution to advancing the field across the past 12 months.

A panel of CEOs, former HR directors, business associations and academics judge the awards. Globally renowned specialists in the field of HR complete the 50-strong panel.

The lists will be revealed at a ceremony attended by 120 of the leading HR directors and academics from around the world. The top three practitioners and top three UK and international thinkers will be announced on the night.

In 2013, former NHS Employers CEO Dean Royles took the prize for the most influential practitioner and CIPD CEO Peter Cheese won the award for the top HR thinker.

Readers' choice

For the first time, there is also a separate Readers' Choice Award in which the readers of HR magazine have voted for their top HR director of 2014. The voting closed on 8 September and the winner will be announced on the night.

A panel of headhunters and former HR directors compiled the shortlist. The shortlist includes Marks & Spencer HR director Tanith Dodge and Topshop global HR director Helena Feltham.

The full lists are now on the HR magazine Twitter account and the new HR Most Influential section of hrmagazine.co.uk, which is now live.
