The new category aims to identify the HR stars of the future and will showcase upcoming talent in HR.
HR directors were invited to nominate members of their team who show potential and display all the qualities to be an outstanding HR director in the future.
SHORTLIST:
Shirley Bronks, HR manager, Wembley Stadium
As her nominator says: “She instils confidence and professionalism.”
Joanna Brown, HR manager for the strategy and policy team, Hertfordshire County Council
Says her nominator: “I have no doubt that Jo will be an HR director very soon and if I could persuade her to travel I would poach her like a shot!”
Sonia Cooke, head of HR, Human Tissue Authority
“My expectation for her is that she should - and could - easily be an HR director by the time she reaches 30,” says her nominator.
Tim Gallimore, head of learning and development – retail, DSGi
Gallimore’s nominator says his key strengths are his excellent influencing skills and his passion in ensuring that everything he does has a positive impact on the customer.
Hayley Oats, HR manager, HFL
According to her nominator, her knowledge, energy, commitment and enthusiasm have been a big factor in setting and maintaining the organisation's culture throughout major changes.
Judges will be looking for examples of how the entrant has developed their skills in HR and helped to contribute to the business, significant achievements in the past 12 months, and why they have what it takes to be an HR director of the future.
The winner will be announced on the awards night at our gala dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane, London, on 7 July.
