Harvey joined as HR Director for Skanska’s Infrastructure businesses and in 2008 was appointed as board member of Skanska UK Plc and member of the Executive Management Team with functional leadership responsibility for Human Resources & Communications across 5500 employees. Harvey is also Chair of the Skanska Pension Trustee Board and a member of Skanska’s Ethics Committee.
Skanska has been a winner of Construction News’ Employer of the Year Award and Diversity and Inclusion Champion Award; finalist for the HR Magazine HR Team of the Year and HR Director of the Year; and highly commended for HR Team of the Year at the 2015 CIPD Awards.
Harvey spent the early part of his career in Retail Management with House of Fraser, Virgin Group and BT prior to moving into HR. Harvey was listed on HR Magazine’s ‘Most Influential’ for the sector in 2015 and 2016.
Harvey has driven significant change including the development of organisational culture and structure, and the introduction of a people strategy to guide the organisation through recession and return to growth, which includes robust talent management. His specialties include business transformation, organisation development and culture change, people strategy, HR transformation, and talent management.
