Andrew McEachern, global director of people and talent development, Norton Rose

Andrew McEachern joined Norton Rose Fulbright as global director of people and talent development in 2009. He is responsible for hiring, developing and retaining the best talent for the legal practice.

Andrew McEachern has both a legal and human resources background. He qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and worked for a number of years in private practice in London and Australia as well as in-house at Royal Dutch Shell.

Before joining the practice McEachern spent nine years at Goldman Sachs International in various HR roles, latterly as the chief operating officer of the human capital management function for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and India.

Norton Rose Fulbright has been included in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women for two consecutive years. It has a number of initiatives aimed at supporting the career development of women, including the careers strategies programme, a modular development programme for women who aspire to partnership. The programme has been a key part of the diversity strategy to improve the gender balance at partner level.
