Glasgow Caledonian University is offering HR professionals a new evening training course to 'top up' their HR management skills.

The course, which is aimed at people who would like to increase their skills and advance to MSc level, launches on Thursday 4 February 2010. The course involves two taught modules comprising consulting for strategic change, and leadership and HR management.

The semester has 12 teaching weeks, taking place on a part-time study basis in the evenings.

The leadership and HR management module explores the role of leadership and management for those in the organisation responsible for managing human resources. The consulting for strategic change module aims to facilitate a critical appraisal of issues and challenges in the management of change, transition and transformation, and the contribution of HR specialists to those processes.
